Way of Dance and Song

The traditional utasanshin (songs) and dance music
of Okinawa, recorded by Master Harry Seisho Nakasone, are now available on CDs.
The romanized Okinawan words to the songs and their English translations are
included with each volume. Volume I, The Way of Song consists
of 37 classical pieces on 2 CDs. Students of this traditional vocal and
musical art form of songs accompanied by the sanshin and kutu, will find the
CDs a valuable learning tool Volume II, The Way of Dance is a
collection of Okinawan dance music and verse which students of this form of
expression could use for practies and performances. The two volume, 3
CD set is an enjoyable means of discovering and appreciating the charming spirit
and culture of Okinawa.
